Leadership is a gift from God, but the act of leadership is some thing that needs to be master with precision. Last week the elderly council of WIMAM held first hand meeting with the parents to discuss issues affecting our noble community. In attendance of the meeting were the two elders, Alhaji Ayouba Bility consider father of all the Bilitys in Milwaukee and Alhaji Mohammed Konneh father of Musa Papa Konneh. The two highly respectful elders Alhaj Ayouba Bility and Alhaj Mohamed Konneh are also consider by the people as the parents of the Mandingo community of Milwaukee. Liberian president gets Honorary Doctor of Laws from Indiana University

The University of Indiana has conferred an honorary Doctor of Laws degree on President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf. The honorary degree was conferred on the Liberian leader at the University’s 179th Commencement held today in Bloomington, Indiana, U.S.A.
Indiana University President Michael McRobbie, who read the conferral statement before thousands of graduates and well-wishers, said President Johnson-Sirleaf has had an illustrious career and has achieved many accolades in the face of difficulties. More

In this big issue that has supposedly been shaping the fate of the Mandingo people in Liberia, our judgments are based on simplifications and generalizations, on what we have heard others saying about the Mandingo tribe. All people, particularly in a democracy, should deal with and judge these two words, SIMPLIFICATION and GENERALIZATION, with caution. Monrovia-The turbulent era of Dr. Al-Hassan Conteh is over at the University of Liberia. Liberian President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf late Monday night made a number of appointments in her administration, the most notable being the end of Conteh’s reign at the University.
