Hon. Kalifala M. Turay
Chairman- Board of adviser
LIMAP, Philadelphia, PA
June 25, 2007
Hon. Turay:
I will take this time to extend my heart felt thanks and appreciation to you and
members of the LIMAP Board of Advisors, for your contribution to the Mandingo
community in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Your last effort to reconcile the conflict amongst some of our sisters in our
community amplified your usefulness to our community. However, that conflict was
not resolved and your unilateral action to appoint people to the Board of
Advisors, who did not meet the permission of the LIMAP Executives, was in complete
violation of the existence of the purpose of the Board.
It has also come to my attention that a communication bearing your name has made
reference to you as a “Board of Director” of the LIMAP and that you were taking
actions to justified that authority.
I am informed that much attention have not been given to the explicit distinction
between the position of the Board of Advisors which is your job titles, and that of
the Board of Directors; (not your job titles) which is an elected position,
according to LIMAP constitution. It is now clear me that your failure to understand
these simple distinctions, attributed to your failed effort in resolving the
conflict among your people in the community.
In view of this, and in the interest of clarity, I am revoking your appointment as
Chairman of the Board of Advisors and dissolving the Board with immediate effect.
You will refrain from meeting and acting as the “Board of Directors” of the LIMAP,
and as per the date of this letter, you may report every document you hold as
members of the Board of Advisors. Please consider this letter as your legal notice
and inform the rest of the Advisors of the dissolution.
Yours truly,
Mohamed A Bility
President of LIMAP
