WI Mandingo Association of Milwaukee

Statements from the Organization of Texas Mandingo (OTEMA)
July 10, 2007

The Organization of Texas Mandingo, OTEMA, writes to express its strong disappointment in the facilitators and the selected leaders of the so-called Philadelphia conference for falsely presenting Texas on its website as one of its chapters and signatories to its constitution. OTEMA considers such acts as misleading, and an attempt on the part of the facilitators to overrate the so-called conference in the eyes of the public, in general. Additionally, The Organization finds the acts to be dishonest, unprofessional, misuse of its name and a total provocation.

Next, the office of the president hereby informs its good friends in LIMANY, WIMAM, UOMIM, the Arizona Mandingo Association, and all those that respect the Organization that it did not send, or is not aware, or did not approve of any representation of whatsoever from Texas, to attend the conference in Philadelphia. For this reason, the Executive Office insists and demands that the Philadelphia conference immediately removes the page containing Texas’s representation from its site.

Finally, The Organization of Texas Mandingo respects, supports, and stands by LIMANY, WIMAM, UOMIM, and all individuals, and Associations for their decisions to boycott the recently ended conference.
