The Wisconsin Mandingo Association (WIMAM) boycotts the self proclaimed Mandingo Convention in Philadelphia, PA 2007
June 28, 2007 WIMAM.NET press release
Abraham Kenneh, President of WIMAM
Wisconsin-The president of the Wisconsin Mandingo Association (WIMAM) Mr. Abraham Kenneh and its executive board have decided to boycott the self proclaimed all Mandingo Convention slated to be held in Philly, PA on June 28 through 30, 2007.
Even though having a convention is a noble ideal but in the midst of confusions and boycotts, Wisconsin has had the second thought. As we see it, this convention has the propensity to divide us more than uniting us with un-diminishing intensity. The convention lacks the structure that is needed to be successful and risk having two set of conventions due to poor planning.
WIMAM is a federal register organization championing and advocating equality and unity among the Mandingo community in Wisconsin and around the world.
Any representation from Wisconsin lacks the legitimacy and credential to speak for our administration and the Mandingo community. WIMAM resent any false representation.
Thanks for your comprehensions.
